10.10 is US-based shopping festival centered around revitalizing the hard-hit retail sector while strategically keeping the consumer at the core of its objectives. For the inaugural event in October 2020, an alliance of retailers joined forces to provide consumers with special perks in order to increase consumer engagement and give back to philanthropic organizations, as well as to incentivize early holiday shopping and thus decrease pressure on the retail supply chain for the holiday season.

Shopping festivals have an impressive track record of success. Since their inception, Alibaba’s Singles’ Day and JD.com’s 6.18 have both grown exponentially, and Coresight Research estimates that Amazon’s Prime Day saw GMV grow by 50% in 2020.
