Our latest survey report provides a detailed update on US consumers’ behaviors, concerns and expectations, with a focus on the implications for retail. This week, we focus on the declining trend in consumer visits to shopping centers throughout November. We also discuss shoppers’ current online spending habits and avoidance of public places, as well as what activities they expect to do in the next two weeks. Our consumer survey was undertaken on November 24.

October 2020 Monthly Consumer Update: US, UK and China

Analyzing consumer demand in October 2020, we saw very strong retail sales growth in the US, while the UK maintained growth momentum and China reported a positive increase in retail sales for the third consecutive month. We also consider wage growth and food and fuel prices in these three markets.
