About Sarah Carson Sarah Carson is the Founder and CEO of Leota. Leota is the vibrant wash and wear fashion brand for women who do it all, and is sold in the top stores globally as well on Leota.com. Carson bootstrapped Leota and achieved Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America 2 years in a row, and in the top 50 run by women. Carson was honored with the Design Entrepreneurs NYC distinction in 2012, and was selected as one of the top emerging womenswear designers in New York by Mayor Bloomberg's Economic Development Corporation Fashion.NYC.2020 and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Prior to Leota, Carson was an investment banker at UBS focusing on corporate finance in the utilities sector and later matching hedge funds with corporate managements. She is an avid philanthropist and serves on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Letters and the LGBT Community Center in New York. Carson is a member of the Brooklyn chapter of Entrepreneur’s Organization. She mentors up and coming entrepreneurs through the Philadelphia Fashion Incubator, Design Entrepreneurs NYC, the Brown Women's Launch Pad program, and as a guest lecturer at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She holds a Black Belt in Kung Fu, is the 2- time National Full Contact Kuoshu Fighting champion and was a member of the 1996 USA Team that competed in the World Tournament in Taiwan. Carson graduated from Brown University with a degree in Gender Studies.
