These are the highlights: Amazon Prime Day 2019 will feature more than one million deals globally, including what the company says will be “the biggest deals ever” on Amazon Music, Prime Video and Alexa-enabled devices. To build excitement, Amazon is now offering general and daily deals to increase customer engagement. Coresight Research estimates Amazon could generate approximately $5.8 billion in global product sales on Prime Day 2019, up by around half from our $3.9 billion estimate for 2018. Growth will be supported by the event being extended to 48 hours this year from 36 hours in 2018. In the US, companies such as Target, Walmart, eBay and Best Buy are taking measures to compete with Amazon on Prime Day deals.
