Google Cloud has announced its acquisition of Dutch mainframe-migration company Cornerstone, which should drive enterprises to move legacy applications to the cloud.

The acquisition is the latest move Google to expand its fast-growing Cloud business, following the company’s $2.6 billion acquisition of analytics company Looker earlier in February 2020.
