Highlights from our March UK Retail Sales Report:

  • UK retail saw a strengthening of year-over-year volume (or real term) growth in March. Easter Sunday fell on April 1 this year versus April 16 last year, and this pulled some Easter-related spending forward into March.
  • Total value retail sales growth of 5.2% in March was the highest seen since last August.
