Headquartered in Denton, Texas, the company operates more than 4,000 stores across the United States and internationally, serving both retail customers and licensed salon professionals under the Sally Beauty, CosmoProf and Armstrong McCall brands. On November 17, 2006, the company completed its spin-off from Alberto-Culver and became an independent, publicly traded company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
