Our US Monthly Retail Traffic and In-Store Metrics Report reviews year-over-year changes in selected store-based metrics, including sales, traffic and conversion rates. Highlights from our March Retail Traffic report: US store traffic declined 7.9% year over year in March. Year over year, the conversion rate fell 0.4 percentage points, average transaction value (ATV) grew 3.3% and the product return rate decreased by 0.3 percentage points. March’s performance varied over the course of the five weeks, with traffic sliding least in the second and third week of the month, with declines of only 4.6% and 3.8%, respectively. The west experienced the largest declines in sales and traffic at 9.3% and 8.7%, respectively.
