VMware is a software company majority owned by Dell which provides cloud computing and virtualization software and services. Many enterprises use VMware to run workloads such as ERP and CRM, as well as databases, and need a simple way to migrate those workloads to the cloud. The acquisition lets Google to accelerate its offering of a fully integrated VMware migration solution.
