Soccer Networking Event and Times Square Cup Kickoff Reception
What does Street Soccer USA do?
Street Soccer USA’s mission is to fight poverty and strengthen communities through soccer.
Our vision is a level playing field for all.
So how does that work?
We engage kids and families in high poverty neighborhoods across the city through free, high quality soccer clubs right there where they live.
The clubs serve as a gateway into positive community, academic support for kids, and social service support for parents. The aim is to close the achievement gap and to create opportunities for youth while also helping to stabilize families.
Our program hubs are in Flatbush, Red Hook, Sunset Park and East New York in Brooklyn, Elmhurst in Queens, Washington Heights and East Harlem in Manhattan, and Claremont Village in the Bronx. By creating safe places to play, supplying trained, caring coaches, and an evidence-based curriculum to build important skills, including communication, creativity, collaboration, Street Soccer USA encourages and enables short and long-term positive changes in our players’ lives
