The travel industry and associated retail in the US were hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, as consumers stayed home at record rates in 2020 and continue to be wary of visiting public places such as tourist attractions. However, in the second half of 2021, we expect travel to pick up substantially, beginning with regional domestic travel by car and eventually spreading to international air travel.
