Highlights from our March US Retail Sales Report: Total retail sales excluding gasoline and automobiles increased 0.7% year over year in March, a substantial slowdown from the revised 2.5% year-over-year increase in February. Seasonally adjusted, only three sectors saw a sales decline year over year in March. The home-improvement sector grew 3.3% year over year in March, up from 1.1% growth in February.
