Highlights from our December UK Retail Sales Report: UK retail saw a weak 2019 holiday season overall, with beneficiaries of shifts to e-commerce and discount channels being the exceptions. Sales fell at department stores and apparel retailers. The nondiscretionary grocery sector bucked the general trend of growth accelerating sequentially.
