Highlights from our August 2020 US Retail Sales Report: Amid still difficult circumstances, US retail sales continued to rebound strongly in August, though at a slower pace compared to July, fueled by strong growth in several sectors. However, total US retail sales showed further strong growth momentum, driven by multiple nonfood sectors—including sports and leisure goods and home improvement.
