The company reported 4Q18 EPS, excluding special items, of $2.73, down 4.2% from the year ago period but beating the consensus estimate of $2.53. Vipshop (NYSE: VIPS) 4Q18 Results: Active Customers Increase Thanks to WeChat Mini Programs, but Revenue Growth Slows

Vipshop reported revenue of ¥26.1 billion for the fourth quarter of 2018, up 8.1% year over year. Revenue growth was driven by the increase in the number of total active customers and the apparel category. Gross profit for the quarter increased 2.8% year over year to ¥5.4 billion, while gross margin decreased 110 basis points to 20.6%.

Walmart (NYSE: WMT) Fiscal 4Q19 Earnings: Beats EPS Estimates from Strong Expense Management

Walmart reported fiscal 4Q19 revenues of $138.8 billion, up 1.9% year over year and in line with the consensus estimate. Total revenues excluding foreign currency effects were $140.5 billion, up 3.1%. Membership and other income was $1.1 billion, down 6.0%.

Walmart U.S. e-commerce sales increased 43%, benefiting from strong online grocery sales.

U.S. comps increased 4.2%, ahead of the 3.1% consensus estimate.
