We believe that inclusivity is a key trend to watch in retail; it is a component trend of Coresight Research’s RESET framework for change. Coresight Research’s 2022 US consumer survey on adaptive clothing, footwear and accessories found that among respondents who have a disability or care for someone with a disability, 48% reported having challenges in finding apparel to meet their needs. Price is the top challenge, cited by more than six in 10 respondents in this subset. Price is both the biggest challenge and the top request among respondents: 57% of respondents with disabilities would like to see lower prices.
