BJ’s Wholesale Club (NYSE: BJ)

BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings Inc. (BJ’s), founded in 1984, is a membership-only warehouse club chain that operates on the east coast of the US. The company ranks third among warehouse clubs in total revenues, after Costco and Sam’s Club. BJ’s seeks to sell groceries at prices lower than traditional supermarkets. Its primary offerings include perishables, edible grocery, general merchandise and non-edible grocery. The company was acquired by private equity investors in 2011 and completed an initial public offering on June 27, 2018. BJ’s is headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts.
