Alibaba Go Global 11.11 Pitch Fest

The “Go Global 11.11 Pitch Fest” is a virtual event designed to help more U.S. brands expand their businesses globally. The event will provide an opportunity for selected U.S. small and medium-sized businesses to test the market in China and participate in Alibaba’s 2020 11.11 Global Shopping Festival, the biggest shopping festival in the world with $38.4 billion of gross merchandise value in 24 hours last year.

Eligible brands can register to pitch their products to a panel of industry experts to receive valuable advice on how to grow their business globally and in China. Selected entrants will be fast-tracked and launched on Tmall Global through our Overseas Fulfillment program. Brands that are selected to participate in the 11.11 Festival this year will get hands-on advice from Tmall Global and their products will be featured prominently on the marketplace during the shopping festival.

Timeline:

• September 4, 2020: Deadline for submission
• September 15, 2020:  Go Global Pitch Fest (Virtual)
• September 16-18, 2020: Tmall Global team fast-tracks onboarding processes for selected brands
• September 21–October 2, 2020: Selected brands send inventory to Tmall Global’s warehouse
• Mid-late October: Brands launch during a mini sales promotional campaign
• November 1, 2020: Brand ranked #1 in GMV since launch will receive additional resources and free exposure during Alibaba’s 11.11 Global Shopping Festival
